Message	it would have to come in contact with a surface like a bone for weeks before inflicting damage. As far as "eating" paint, I wouldn't go that far at all. If you leave ANY non neutral fluid on a clearcoated surface in the sun especially, you will ruin it. Coke would evaporate, leave a sticky residue (sugar), stain the clearcoat. Its not Alien saliva.
